Hi, I’m Jenny. I’m the person actually writing everything on this site — not a team, not a brand voice written by committee. Just one mother, three kids, and a lot of ordinary weekday afternoons that turned into this website.
I grew up in Vietnam, in a home where learning happened everywhere — in the kitchen, on errands, in ordinary conversation — long before it happened at a desk. When I became a parent myself, raising my kids in the U.S., I found myself reaching for that same instinct: that a real, lived moment usually teaches more than a worksheet does. Wonder Family is where I write that down, in English, for other parents who feel the same way, whether you homeschool full-time, supplement after school, or just want your family’s ordinary days to hold a little more.
I’m not a certified teacher, and I’ve never claimed to be a parenting expert. What I’ve actually done is spend eleven years raising three kids — through toddlerhood, screens, meltdowns, independence, and everything ordinary in between — building an actual system along the way, tested and rebuilt on three very different kids until it held. Homeschooling has been part of that decade, but it’s one piece of it, not the whole story. The system itself is: the Five-Block Rhythm, the Reset Page, the Curriculum Survival Filter, the Age-by-Age Framework. None of it started as theory — it’s what got tested, broken, and rebuilt until it actually held. When I share what worked for us, I say so plainly — “this worked for our family” is different from “this is the right answer for every family,” and I try never to blur that line.
You won’t find real photos or real names of my children anywhere on this site — that’s a boundary I keep for their privacy, not for lack of proof that any of this is real. You also won’t find manufactured success stories or reviews; if you don’t see testimonials on a page, it’s because we don’t have real ones to share yet, and I’d rather show nothing than something fake.
